Dr. Gautam Tamboliya

Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Dr. Gautam H. Tamboliya completed his schooling and medical education in Ahmedabad and the Saurashtra region. He pursued his MBBS from P.D.U. Medical College, Rajkot under Saurashtra University, followed by MD in Internal Medicine from M.P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar.

Driven by a strong passion for digestive and liver diseases, Dr. Gautam Tamboliya further pursued super-speciality training in Medical Gastroenterology and completed his DNB in Medical Gastroenterology from the prestigious Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata in 2017. During his advanced training, he gained extensive experience in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and therapeutic endoscopy under highly experienced mentors.

Dr. Gautam H. Tamboliya has wide expertise in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, liver and pancreatic disorders. He is skilled in performing both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, EVL banding, stricture dilatation, PEG tube placement, foreign body removal, fluoroscopy-guided interventions, polypectomy, APC, side-view endoscopy and advanced motility procedures such as oesophageal and rectal manometry with 24-hour pH monitoring.

He has independently managed a wide range of complex gastroenterology and hepatology conditions including fatty liver disease, liver cirrhosis, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastrointestinal bleeding, chronic constipation and functional bowel disorders. His academic work includes thesis studies on “Evaluation of Chronic Constipation in Indian Population” during his DNB training and “Study of Evaluation of Peripheral Neurovascular Status among Diabetics” during his postgraduate medical education.

Dr. Gautam Tamboliya also served as a Visiting Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI), Ahmedabad from 17th October 2022 to 1 6th October 2023, where he gained valuable experience in managing gastrointestinal complications and endoscopic interventions in oncology patients.

Apart from clinical practice, Dr. Gautam Tamboliya has also contributed significantly to medical academics and teaching. He has worked as a teaching faculty at Kesar SAL Medical College, Ahmedabad and had been actively involved in teaching MBBS, MD, nursing and paramedical students.
